The cello is the most well known sibling to the violin in the string family. It has the same strings as the viola, but 1 octave down. Obviously it is much larger, lower, deeper. It was once not considered a solo instrument like the violin, but that changed in the classical era of music, and in the Romantic era, some of the great cello concertos were written.

Watch all of the shorter videos, and at least some of the longer videos. Yo Yo Ma, DuPre, and Rostropovich are possibly the greatest cellists to ever live, and we are lucky to have videos of all of them. Then, fill out the form.
